The company was founded in 1986 and has developed into a leading company in the Austrian metalworking industry in recent years. It specialises in innovative metal and façade construction combined with high-quality sun protection. Other areas of focus include window and portal construction, as well as special constructions made of stainless steel and aluminium.

The use of state-of-the-art CAD software is a basic requirement for professional engineering in our technical office. In the workshops, CNC-controlled machines support production processes in metal construction, sheet metal working and also in the stainless steel sector.

Starmann Metallbau GmbH was founded in 1986 and initially specialised in façade construction and portal construction in Austria and neighbouring countries.

In the years that followed, the company continued to develop and strengthen its core competencies in aluminium and stainless steel construction. Through successful projects, such as the design of the glass façade of the Palmers headquarters, Starmann Metallbau GmbH has established itself as a leading company in Austria.

In the years that followed, the company also gained a foothold in other European countries and completed projects worth up to 7.5 million euros.

Between 2016 and 2018, the company developed innovative system solutions for folding and sliding shutters, which have successfully established themselves on the market.

The following year, the operations of Starmann Sonnenschutztechnik GmbH (which was founded in 1975) were transferred to Starmann Metallbau GmbH and Starmann GmbH was renamed.

In 2021, Starmann GmbH was split into three companies: Starmann GmbH (production), Starmann Service GmbH (service/maintenance) and Starmann Envelope GmbH (facade division for large orders). These three companies are managed by the holding company Starmann Group GmbH. At the end of September 2025, Starmann Envelope GmbH was merged and no longer exists as an independent company.

In recent years, we have developed into an internationally recognised partner in the real estate industry, with a particular focus on innovation, production and service.
